Here are some black and whites.

Here are three pen and inks that I did last summer for the first volume of the Ghost Girls book series. It had been a long time since I had done pen and ink, so I was a little rusty. These pictures are a little stiffer than I'd like. The digital sketches that I did for the book came out with a lot more "feeling" to them. I'll post some of those later.

Finding Tin

This is a pretty big piece that I had a lot of fun with. Inked with marker, and colored in Photoshop. I have ideas for a couple more pieces that would be a kind of "what happens next" in Oz.

Delivery

Just a quick sketch that I kind of liked and added color and texture with Photoshop. I'm pretty happy with the guy riding on the pumpkins while the other guy seems to be doing all the work.

In The Garden - Looney Toons Style

This is just the preliminary pencil drawing. Hopefully there will be a painted color version in the next few weeks. The idea for this is what if Chuck Jones had interpreted parts of the bible as cartoons. In this one, Satan is trying anything to get Eve to eat some apple. But something always happens and he's unsuccessful. Like in this, the apple above her head is probably going to break loose and bop her.

Next up: What if Jesus had been a balloon?

One Rose

Here's a rose done in Photoshop, for a sad story that happened to someone over at DeviantArt.

Can I Keep It?

One of the first freelance jobs that I got from Paramount Cards probably around 2003, while also employed full time as a designer there. This was done in guache. Like most of our stuff was before we went digital.

I miss painting, but I don't miss the time it takes to set up and clean up.
